Introduction I love to sew. I started at age 13 when my legs were four inches too long for McCall's trousers. Fifty years later, I'm still at it, but don't actually need any more clothes. You'll know more than you should about me by picking up a copy of my comic novel, "A Visit From Voltaire," nominated for the Orange/Bailey's Prize for Fiction in 2004. If you prefer thrillers and mysteries, check out the trilogy "The Handover Mysteries" by clicking on the images in above. Everything's available in bookstores or Amazon, iBookstore, Sony, Kobo and B&N worldwide. Happy Sewing and happy reading!
Interests I'm a novelist with nine novels published under three pen names, including a man's, (now writing my fourth in a series of historical thrillers set in Late Rome.) It's my livelihood and I work pretty much seven days a week in the hope people will get some entertainment from my work. Sewing is a break, broken in turn by taking a walk or swimming in a public pool with my husband who is partly disabled. Then back to work. I love to sew elegant evening outfits for attending classical music concerts, (one child is a professional musician) but I spend most of my time in separates for day. For thirty years, I swore by Vogue Designers, but after they lost the 'great' designers, I realized that Burda Style mag offers far more styles for the money and their garment sizing fits me better.
