| Introduction | My husband, Herschel, and I still live at what used to be our bed and breakfast, Candlewycke Manor. We closed it last year. We both work outside the home. We have two grown sons...one living in Florida with his wife and grandson, and the other in Washington D.C. We also have two dogs (bichon frises) named Oliver & Chloe. They are our only children in the home right now as we are always picking up after them...toys, papers and other stuff they get into. Physically, I am struggling with a disease that most misunderstand... primary lipedema and secondary lymphedema. That is probably the primary reason for writing this blog. I need to revamp my attitude. I've always been a happy person, but with time and trials, I've watched me change. I pray that God will help me become who He wants me to be. I want people to see the characteristics of Christ in me. Right now, I fear that isn't happening. So, I'm on a life-changing journey. |

| Favorite movies | Monk (sad it ended), Royal Pains (can't wait for the new season), Psych, The Apprentice (glad the next season plans to go back to the original direction of using people other than famous stars), Dancing with the Stars (even though I can't dance), Criminal Minds and other dramas and mysteries, and most of Food Network. |
