| Introduction | I have been interested in photography for as long as I can remember. The first camera I ever saw was my mother's Rolleiflex TLR and from that moment I was hooked. When I could afford it, I bought my first camera - an Olympus OM-10, and I still have my Olympus cameras from the 1970's. But of course, for my day to day photography and Mooseheads shooting, I rely on some of the most advanced digital Nikon equipment. Shooting hockey is very challenging, and requires hockey knowledge and good equipment. The speed of the game, the challenging light, and shooting through plexiglass make shooting hockey such a challenge and a thrill. My bread and butter lens is Nikon's 70-200mm f2.8 VR, which offers enough versatility and speed to capture the majority of situations. At one time I experimented with two camera bodies but that was too cumbersome, so I tolerate swapping lenses as I need. Some of my other lenses I frequently use include the 16mm fisheye, the 16-35mm f4, and the 24-70mm f2.8. Others come in for special situations. Almost all my processing is done on Lightroom 3, which has revolutionized my image management and increased the speed with which I can go through images. |
