Introduction Greetings in the name of the Lord. My name is Steve Thurstan. I was born in Stretford, England, and raised in the USA with a dual citizenship. I was born-again in 1974. I have an Assoc.Th.D. and I am both a Teacher and an Author. I am reformed/charismatic in my theology. What does this mean? Except for paedobaptism, literal Sabbath observance, and other minor differences, my doctrine is Reformed. Additionally, I am not a cessationist—all God's gifts are still for today. I do not believe tongues are the initial evidence of being baptized in the Holy Spirit. I believe these gifts are separate and distinct experiences whereby God enables us to do works we could not do otherwise. I use to write a newsletter in my local church, called: The Biblical Perspective. Its intent was, as is now, to proclaim God’s truths as opposed to the error that is out there today in the Church. If Christians would only let Scripture interpret Scripture, instead of relying on highly speculative and imaginative theories, they would not be tossed to and fro by every wind of man-made doctrine. To this end I strive—to present every man complete in Christ (Col. 1:28).
Interests Reading, writing and studying the Bible. I also like bicycling, daily walking, and going to the gym. I enjoy using the stair-stepper. I use to enjoy snow skiing, but no longer do this anymore. Another very important interest of mine, was my Christian wife Judy of 36 years, who passed away in 2016 of ALS. I miss her greatly.
Favorite Movies Any action movie that is not rated R; which is pretty hard to come by nowadays. Even some PG-13's are to be avoided.
Favorite Music Integrity Hosanna Music and Christian instrumental jazz. Also enjoy old Maranatha Music songs and much of the new Hillsong Christian music. Also love many of the old hymns.
Favorite Books The Old Man in Adam vs. the New Man in Christ and Our Flesh Crucified (an exegesis on Gal. 5:24).
