| Introduction | The Natural Foods Bakery is the brainchild of Orla O'Byrne, Ellie O'Byrne and Roddy Henderson. Sisters from Cork, Orla and Ellie both worked in their mother's healthfood shop as teenagers, forming their longstanding convictions on the benefits of healthy, nutritious food. Ellie says: "a wholefood diet is the ideal. We eat far too many refined foods in this country. As bread is a staple food, finding a good bread which is nourishing as well as tasty is essential." Roddy Henderson is a recent import from Edinburgh. He has years of experience in the service industries, and has definite ideas about how the retail side of the business should be run. "The Customer is everything," He says. "We hope to provide a good service to our customers, and it's very important to me that standards are set very high. All our staff are friendly and approachable. We had so many requests for seating that we recently invested in some tables. Now our customers can enjoy their takeaway coffees overlooking the water, weather permitting!" |
