| Introduction | iCAN! Help 4 Kids' mission is to connect kids to their community to make a difference. Over the past three years, iCAN! created programs that engage and educate kids on health, hunger and poverty issues. Partnerships with Vienna Youth Soccer (VYS), Vienna Little League, Westbriar Elementary School and Kilmer Middle School resulted in: donations of over 9,000 pounds of food to a local food bank; 800 snack bags to Alternative House; baseball and soccer equipment donations for charities in the United States and abroad; and a campaign to raise awareness through the VYS “Give Cancer the Boot” campaign and fundraiser benefiting Life with Cancer. Each project was staffed entirely with volunteer participation from students, players, and parents with no cost to the benefiting organization. |
