| Introduction | I'm weirdly talkative online, i have the most fun expressing myself online than in real life, with real words. i'm self-conscious, so online banters and conversations is way more comfortable for me than face-to-face since i grew up with screens and smart tech. you can edit your words online and censor yourself and no one notices, you get to proof-read your output or reaction or comment so you can fine-tune to have it so you can get the most positive response, and in doing so have a barrier to seeing the "real" me with digital peacocking and/or trolling. this new age of smart technology and machine learning have efficiently shouldered their way into meticulously making real human connection as fake and vapid as it could be subliminally messaged to thousands. it has quite effectively obliterated true, intimate and empowering moments where you connect with another human without any middle-men gadgets to make it "memorable" or "YOLO". |
