| Introduction | Born in rural South Dakota. Went to high school in North Dakota. College in Walla Walla Washington. I sold my cow, and moved to LA when I was 19 years old, and muddled through that whole experience. Moved to Portland in '99, and met my now wife during that stint. Moved back to LA briefly, but discovered that I loved the Northwest, and loved Portland. Moved here permanently in '00. I've worked in 19 different restaurants in every position in the house from Dishwasher to FOH Manager. Discovered that I felt most at home behind the bar, and I think I'll stay there for a while. I'm a stay at home dad full time, and a Bar Keep part time. I love that balance. I'm sure once my boys are older I'll go back to work a little more full time, but while I can, I want to experience the growth of my kids. |
