| Introduction | Colleen is a native of Nova Scotia and has lived most of her life in this beautiful seaside province. Colleen's artistic sensibilities developed after careers as a radiation therapist and as a full-time mother to her two wonderful children - Scott and Lisa. Her first love of art and painting came while developing as a decorative artist. From there, the study of colour theory and art principals followed, in addition to the development of painting as a full time vocation. Colleen has been a teacher of note, teaching painters throughout Canada and the USA. She shares her skills, and keen eye for utilizing various techniques of the old masters to achieve realism in her work. Inspiration to paint comes to Colleen from the beauty of simple everyday objects. A collector of antiques and old dishes, a chef and gardener, a dog lover and lover of all things natural, Colleen finds constant inspiration in her home, her garden and all aspects of her life. Colleen's work has been acquired by collectors throughout Canada and the USA. |
