If you were a pirate, how would you avoid laughing when saying 'poop deck'?
At West Point in the mess hall, the brigade staff issues the following order (from the poop deck) every day,"Attention to orders. All table commandants report to the poop deck to pick up floaters." After 4 years there, anything funny with that phrase was sucked out by the walls of grey.
