| Introduction | I live in the town of Antimony, Utah. My wife Natalie and I have been married 33 years. We have 8 children, 4 of them adopted. I grew up on a farm in Northern California. I started work as a carpenter right out of high school, went to college in Idaho, met my future wife Natalie there, then went to Ecuador in South America for two years before coming back and marrying Natalie. I became a cabinet maker and worked at that for several years in northern California and south Florida. I had the crazy idea to build a cattle ranch out in the amazon side of Ecuador. I was convinced it would be a success, and at 27 I moved myself, my wife and my three small children to the middle of he jungle. Things didn't work out like I planned and I fell in love with the jungle and set up an eco-tourist resort instead. I had a great time and so did my kids. After ten years in the jungle we moved to the States and I became a licensed substance abuse counselor. I still do that work. |
