| Introduction | Though now living in Washington State, I have always had a love affair with the San Gabriel Mountains in SoCal and the High Sierra. I have a history of 55 years hiking in the San Gabriels, and I miss them terribly. Most people in the Los Angeles Basin have no awareness of how fortunate they are to have a wilderness of such awesome grandeur so close in proximity to the sprawling megalopolis to the south. It is to those people their loss! |
