| Introduction | I have been creating art in some form or another since I was a child. Like so many other little girls, I started sewing Barbie clothes at the tender age of 6. Even then I wouldn't/couldn't settle for simple. I still remember the hot pink, oh so slippery, fitted satin ball gown I made without a pattern. Little did I know, I was Draping when I was 6! I sure wish I had that childlike intuition now. I moved back and forth from sewing for several years, but I have always had a deep need to create art in one form or another my entire life. I have experimented in mediums ranging from acrylics to watercolor, beading to ceramics and everything in between. But I always come back to my first love: Fiber! While I still work in other mixed media, my art is primarily fiber/garment related incorporating mixed media techniques. |
