| Introduction | I have the amazing good fortune to live within walking distance of not one, not two, not three but FOUR thrift stores that sell furniture and other home items (my weakness.) I'd spent most of my life on the East Coast and had my doubts that any other town could live up to the thrift store awesomeness I had know in Philadelphia and NYC. But luckily for me, San Francisco is a city where people pride themselves on their individuality, creativity and style, and they are aided in every way possible by this city’s amazing thrift stores. So armed with a little bit of interior design schooling, a year spent working in a furniture showroom, countless hours logged watching decorating shows and eye for a piece with potential, I set out regularly to find home decor happiness for less in the city by the Bay. |
