Introduction | Raised in California's north Sacramento Valley, I captured my interest in fishing in a life-long vocation as fishery biologist, aquatic ecologist, scientist and professor of fisheries at the University of Minnesota. Interests include Great Lakes fisheries, population dynamics of fish in large lake systems, Native American fisheries and the historical and cultural ties between outdoor experiences and human and environmental well-being. Now retired, I pursue my interests in the Driftless Region of the upper midwest with family and friends close at hand. |
