| Introduction | I came to Labrador in 1967, this year 2007 will be 40 years. Over the years I have seen how this BigLand has not gotten it's fair share from it's Resources and how those Resources have been exploited to mostly help other parts of Canada, including Newfoundland . Without a doubt there is a lot of catching-up to do by our provincial government and I definitely won't hold my breath on that one. The residents of Labrador do, from time-to-time get lip-service from politicians and for some unknown reason our own MHA's constantly let us down. As you can see, i'm a political junkie and I hate corruption and unfairness with a passion. On a provincial level I can only imagine one political party that would totally serve the interest of all Labrador people without prejudice. The Labrador Party is a Labrador first party. On the other hand, the Provincial NDP, Liberal and the Progressive Conservative parties are island first parties. This sad situation is now a reality because of the longstanding ignorance of this province's traditional political parties. They have ignored Labrador at their pearl and are now suffering the consequences by seeing island residences leaving in droves. |
