Introduction Just a simply sassy chick from the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area who loves love, lives life to the fullest, and has fun in between. Someone may pose the question, "Why blog ?" Well, why not create a space to share my thoughts on some of my favorite treasures/passions: anything related to the arts, cultural offerings, local entertainment offerings, service/philanthropy and....football (yes, I said it :-))? Consider this a go-to source for upcoming events, new and swanky places to go, things to see, hot topics, my personal picks, and maybe some throwbacks in between. GOT SUGGESTIONS ? Please feel free to send your suggestions to sassybloggin@gmail.com.
Interests I love to partake in any outside social and cultural festivals/events that D.C./Maryland/Virginia has to offer. I'm extrovert at heart and enjoy mixing and mingling with other young professionals/like minded individuals. Through my involvement with the Urban League, I also have a strong passion for community service. Any time you can give is crucial. I would also love to expand my horizons by traveling abroad. My goal is to get to Europe before I turn 35.....AND I'M GOING TO GET THERE !!!
Favorite Movies Comedies, dramas, love stories, classic 70s movies, and musicals are my favorites. Some of them include The Best Man, Love Jones, Love & Basketball, The Wood, Boomerang, When Harry Met Sally, Steel Magnolias, Rent, Grease, Terms of Endearment, An Officer and A Gentleman, Soul Food, The Color Purple, all of the Police Academy movies, Trading Places, National Lampoon's Vacation, National Lampoon's Animal House, Bachelor Party, The Wiz, Lady Sings The Blues, Mahogany.........I can go on and on and on..........
Favorite Music I like to consider myself as someone with eclectic taste. My music collection includes over 500 CDs, not including downloads :-). My iPod provides the soundtrack to my life. Classic Soul, R&B and Hip-Hop to Alternative, Pop & Country, my music collection varies. I'm an 80s child at heart, so anything that was shown on MTV, BET, and The Box (Jukebox, for those that don't know) is what I love :-).
