| Introduction | This work explores the relativity of a puzzle that has perpetually changing components. I intend to alter the composition of a singular image by presenting the viewer with a set of multiples. These images are produced simultaneously, then assembled using a pattern to keep the set analogous. Constricting myself to a pattern, yet having an unpredictable outcome is the basis of my work. A couple of my influences are the writers of Oulipo, who applied constrained writing techniques to their work and the idea of 'pataphysics, a term deemed by Alfred Jarry which involves exploiting the idea of infinitely changing variables. |
