| Introduction | I have chronic fatigue syndrome (mylagic encephalomyelitis), and a few years ago also started to get fibromyalgia (now resolved). With a degree in teaching chemistry, I resolved to find the cause. Being from the north of England, I have a healthy and very strong sceptism about non-physical causes for diseases. I'm writing a book about CFS - although it's slow-going - but when I read about the new research that a retrovirus, XMRV, causes CFS, I felt that I had to publish sooner as I strongly disagree with the American lab's findings. |
