| Introduction | We live in the Yonge and Sheppard area in Toronto and are building a new eco-friendly home on our lot this April. As a family, we try to practice green & healthy living ( compost, BullFrog,PowerSaver,etc) and have decided to do same as we move forward with our venture. We are planning to have geothermal heating, have worked window placement into our plan for passive heat, will rough in photovoltaic solar panels & grey water recover plan, ICF for the basement, are doing bamboo flooring and drain water heat recovery ...and the list goes on. I am a marketing professional and will be pitching our story to the media for coverage. We are sourcing several green partners offering them signage on our fencing as well as being featured in the press release to help grow their awareness and to help others home owners understand that there are many green initiatives that can be undertaken at relatively low costs to help us save the earth and the environment. |
