| Introduction | I am 44 years young mother, bringing up my 7 year old son solo after his father decided drug trafficking was a fulltime career and the best role model choice when our baby was just born. I have seen it all, done too much, have regrets, managed PTSD, trauma, family breakdown, divorce. I've dealt with the police - not by choice, had an AVO on the ex, held down a job, dealt with addicts, dealers, threats and freaks. And for every punch down I stand up twice as tall. This is my story as I continue to grow my little boy into a well rounded emotionally stable man while his father remains incarcerated. We are not a reflection of his choices, but his choices have reflected on our life. 7 years ago my life fell apart, and this year I choose to share that story for others and hope someone may benefit from my unnatural disaster. |
