| Introduction | Kathy Shimpock is an attorney, author and speaker. She is president of Juris Research, a company specializing in research and information technology training;research publications; and consulting in law practice technology, and management. She has worked as a lawyer and as a law librarian in both the academic and private sectors. In addition to her law degree, she has a Master Degree in Law Librarianship and a Master Degree in Business Administration. Ms. Shimpock has written and lectured extensively in the areas of the Internet, research, technology, and privacy and digital law. She has participated in programs sponsored by the ABA, ALI-ABA, the Computer Law Association, and the State Bar of Arizona. She received the State Bar of Arizona's CLE award for 1998. Ms. Shimpock is the author of the loose-leaf service, Business Research Handbook: Methods and Sources for Lawyers and Business Professionals (1996-) and co-author of Arizona Legal Research Guide (1992). She is included within Who's Who in American Law, Who's Who of American Women and Who’s Who in America. |
