| Introduction | It all began with a tiny watercolor painting of a chicken...I was barely able to walk on my own when I painted a watercolor picture of a little red hen. You know the hen I mean, the one who found the wheat, planted it, watered it, weeded it, cut it, threshed it, got it ground into flour, then baked it into bread. Yeah, that hen. I loved how industrious she was and this is a hallmark of who I am as a crafter (incidentally, I still have said tiny watercolor of the little red hen). I am an avid crafter, seamstress, costumer, cosplayer and historic clothier. My current craftings are fun, magical and fandom related: from wee clay miniatures to Harry Potter inspired Potion Bottles to fantastic beasts you can prop on a suitcase, you name it and I've probably tried doing it at least once! I share my crafting space with relatives and pets. As I live in an apartment I have to blend practicality with my passions, using a lovely drop-leaf desk as a sewing table and propping my mannequin behind my overstuffed den chair. |
