| Introduction | I was born in Shanghai, China, to a very prosperous and intellectual Russian family during WWII. At the age of 10, I was taken to the Soviet Union. The first year there, we were exiled to a Siberian village, where we almost died of starvation. During the next 9 years we lived in Moscow and Tashkent, Uzbekistan. During those years in the Soviet Union my family and I experienced many hardships, I met people whose lives were destroyed by Stalin's persecutions, but whose faith upheld their spirits. My personal goal was always to help people in whatever capacity, so I wanted to study to become a doctor. At the age of 21 while in medical school, I was able to come to the USA thanks to my aunt. Since then I lived in Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, and San Francisco. I now live in Sherwood, OR. I had many opportunities to travel extensively in Europe. Unfortunately, I was unable to continue my medical education. But I have led a very fulfilling life, both spiritual and social. I love classical music,opera, art, history, and literature.Through the years I have met many celebrities and regular people from all walks of life who have become my lifelong friends. |
