| Introduction | For the last ten years, I worked in a job I loved. The hours, however, were such that I ALMOST NEVER ventured into the kitchen except to heat something up that Stauffer's or the local restaurant had made. My husband became expert at fending for himself, which is probably why he's so thin. I was laid off a year ago ( what!!!? You too?). Well, now I have time and have determined to dust off the stove and cook sometimes. When I want to make something new, I'll search the web, watch Food Network and look through cookbooks to the point of obsession. I like to take several recipes and morph them into my own variation. Occasionally, I just go in the kitchen and throw things together. It doesn't always work out, so I've thrown some concoctions out. My husband has bravely eaten some things that I would not. I hope you enjoy reading and maybe cooking some of these things. Let me know. |
| Interests | My favorite past time is becoming lost in the presence of God until I reach the point where I am smitten with what He wants to do. The results can be some rather silly behavior - like hugging complete strangers. From times with Him, I have taken up causes - like the election, facilitating soaking meetings, drawing, writing. |
