The experience taught him the basics of scaling a business, building trust with employees and clients, and making decisions based on long-term stability rather than short-term gains. In 2008, Matt Herman made a significant career change by entering the health insurance field. Taking a leadership role at Premier Health, he expanded the agency from 20 agents to several hundred by focusing on team building and providing consistent support. He then established a field marketing organization that provided opportunities for agents nationwide. The business quickly gained traction and was eventually sold in a successful deal involving Bain Capital.
