Introduction My figure drawing teacher, Don MacFarlane, ignited my lifelong obsession with drawing. Through a series of flukes (isn’t that always the case?) I have drawn a few medical illustrations for professional journals. I worked as a research assistant for Rosalynd Reed Munson, an art psychotherapist. Her clinical results often seemed miraculous, sometimes with patients who had not been helped by other therapists. That experience shed an entirely new light on the phenomenon of drawing. I have spent untold hours drawing pictures for little girls to color. I have to crank them out in seconds flat to meet the demands of a half-dozen busy little artists circling the dining room table. The coloring books I create are drawn for the little girls who surround your table. I hope they will love coloring these pictures as much as I have enjoyed drawing them. There’s so much more to discuss, I’ll blog the rest.
