| Introduction | I was born and raised in central Alabama, first in the small town of Wilsonville and then in the suburbs of northern Shelby County. I graduated from Oak Mountain High School and went on to Georgetown University in Washington, DC, where I graduated in 2010. I have always been a conservative, but while in college, I became more thoughtful about the need for local conservative commentary which focuses on issues of state and local government. I was a fellow with the Intercollegiate Studies Institute and the Tocqueville Forum, both conservative groups, while at Georgetown. As for my political bona fides, I spent two years working in Senator Sessions' office while I completed my degrees in Government and History, and I also spent the summer of 2008 traveling the state working for Sen. Sessions' re-election campaign. It was a great experience and inspired me to return home. I'm currently starting law school at the University of Alabama and have returned to work on local political issues. |
