| Introduction | I am a finance professional in the CPG industry (Foods) and head the finance function for a Billion $$ SBU at Sara Lee. I am a Chartered Accountant and an MBA from the Kelley School of Business. I was born, raised and schooled in Mumbai (I love Mumbai and although I have stayed in the US for 10 years, my best years and sweetest memories still linger in the City). I went to college in Vile Parle. I started out working for Bayer (Polymers BU) as their finance manager. I spent a significant part of my career in IT as a Principal finance functional consultant and that gave me the opportunity to travel all over the globe (except the poles). I am completely domesticated (moooo!!!) and belong to Chitra who has borne my antics, travel, schedules and habits for 14 terrific years. Thanks Chitra!! Love You!! My parents live in Coimbatore (for those unfamiliar with Indian geography who stumble upon my blog...this is an industrial town in Southern India). I love movies, music, singing, AR Rahman & RD (who I think are Gods), photography, travel, networking, meeting new people...and the list goes on. I am not an avid sportsman..but love....loooooove football (I mean the NFL - Go Bears) |

| Favorite movies | Rang De Basanti, Sarfarosh, Chak De, The Godfather (especially Parts I and II), Indiana Jones & the……., Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, The Matrix, The Jungle Book (Eternal Classic), Animated movies (Cars, Shrek, Toy Story, Ratatouille etc etc etc….), Amitabh movies (the older ones – 70’s and 80’s), All Aamir Khan movies and many more which have made me weep, laugh, sad and happy….the list is long. |
| Favorite music | On the Indian side - Anything A R Rahman and Rahul Dev Burman (ANYTHING), Pt. Bhimsen Joshi, Pt. Ulhas Kashalkar, Shubha Mudgal (simply love her), Ustad Ahmed & Mohammad Hussain, Jagjit Singh (Again….all songs without exclusion), Pt. Hridayanath Mangeshkar (both songs sung by him and composed by him), Suresh Wadkar and Rahul Sharma. Other favorites – Pink Floyd, Queen, Led Zeppelin, Abba, Billy Joel, Bruce “The Boss” Springsteen, Santana, Dire Straits, CCR, Grateful Dead…more in genres like Latin, Arabic and Celtic. |
