Introduction I'm a would-be character actor with a voice like a bassoon, a bit of a hunchback and far more limbs than are generally considered proper. After a decade of being naught but villains, old men and various unspeakable deformities, I have embarked on the ultimate challenge: playing twenty Charles Dickens characters in the course of an hour. Chart the highs, the lows, the grinding idiocy and the odd flashes of inspiration in staging a one-man show whilst juggling a Cambridge degree. The bonus addition of exciting guest speakers should keep matters suitably thrilling.

Well, maybe they don't need them, but don't you think that some fish might like a bicycle?

Emphatically no. They'd prefer a DVD player.
