| Introduction | The blog came from so little information about the area. Edwardstown, Ascot Park and South Plympton. I have been trying to get our local council to take notice of our area - to get problems fixed, especially the Soldiers' Memorial Rose Garden which the Marion Council has ignored, and treated with total disdain in my opinion. Gone now 2019 Edwardstown Ascot Park and South Plympton are full of interest, history and wonderful people. It is more than so called industrial. To have the mayor, councillors and workers acknowledge the amazing assemblage of people over near 200 years - not as second class citizens of marion but as a rich and important parts of our history and vital to the history of Marion. Our people ARE interested, want to know more, and are proud to live here. End 2019 I have not been successful in getting anyone from council to save the heritage and history nor have anyone from their history section to share knowledge. But at least the written word will be there for all. |
| Interests | Research, genealogy, trying to get Edwardstown a better deal from the Marion Council. To stop it and surrounds from being the 'poor relation' and treated as such. Better footpaths etc for elderly and disabled. Better access for them at all council facilities. |
