| Introduction | Dr. Kamran Massoumi, a distinguished ophthalmologist, founded the Oklahoma Eye Institute and Omni Surgical Center in Lawton, Oklahoma. Born in 1967 in Tehran, Iran, his passion for medicine was inspired by his maternal grandfather, a pioneer in Iranian ophthalmology. After relocating to the U.S. during the Iran-Iraq War, he excelled at the University of California, Berkeley, and St. Louis University Medical School, completing his residency at Case Western University. Choosing to practice in Western Oklahoma due to the severe shortage of specialized eye care, he established his practice in 2002, transforming local healthcare services. Dr. Massoumi is also committed to international health initiatives, performing crucial eye surgeries in Vietnam. Married with two daughters, he and his family are all black belts in Taekwondo. His dedication to advancing medical care and community service continues to impact lives locally and globally. |
