| Introduction | Aloha. Or is it howdy? Born & raised in Texas, my foodie roots go deep-Southern, comfort, poor man's food & Tex Mex. I moved to Hawaii when I was 20 & have lived here all of my adult life. Hawaii refined my palate. Sushi? Yes. Thai, Korean, Chinese, Filipino, Hawaiian? YES! Oh, excuse me. I meant, yes please. The love of my life, Duke, is a culinary marvel. The way he flows in the kitchen is inspiring. Whatever I want to eat, I ask & then receive. Spoiled right? I always viewed myself as a modern woman. Go to school, establish a career, etc. Never wanted to be "domestic". Then 3 years ago, "IT" happened. Chocolate peanut butter cupcakes for Duke's birthday. I loved baking them, he loved eating them & I got heaps of praise. Yes this day of which I speak was the beginning of the 2nd love affair of my life, my baking obsession. I am an ER nurse by day and a baker every single day off. I enjoy nothing more than good music playing in the background while I create love with my kitchenaid.
