Introduction	Welcome to Westhill Academy. Westhill Academy is situated approximately 6 miles west of Aberdeen, just off the A944, Alford road. The school opened for pupils in August, 1979 to serve the rapidly growing commuter town of Westhill, which is still expanding and has a current population of approximately 10,000. The catchment area is mostly relatively new private housing along with pupils from the surrounding rural area including Kirkton of Skene. The roll for is approximately 935. As well as outstanding academic performance, Westhill Academy offers a wide range of extra-curricular activities.
