| Introduction | It seems odd to qualify myself by telling you who I am *not*. But here's the truth: I'm NOT one of those people with an inborn sense of self worth. Maybe there are people in the world who know what it's like to feel like they're worth something, and that's all they've ever known. I have no clue what that's like. Rather than continuing to go without, I've decided to try to build what I feel like I am missing from the ground up. It's been impressed upon me that a sense of self worth can be established by doing the emotional and mental equivalent of "lifting weights". Start small (lifting the 5 pound "worth" weight), and work my way up -- that's what I've been advised to do. So I'm gonna give it a whirl! And I'll take all the support I can get.
