| Introduction | When a compliance officer in a company I was helping said of my report, "It's not complicated enough", I realised I was speaking to one of the people causing their problems, not solving them. It's not necessary to make things complicated in order for people to understand what you say. Doctors are very good at being complicated and they reserve the complexity for others in the medical profession. When talking to patients however, they are masters of simplicity. All I do is help explain things verbally, in words people can understand, free of jargon. |
