| Introduction | A writer of reflective journals; a series of seasonal paeans to coastal living, meditations on the natural world and its changing seasons and weather. Here, at a small Scottish fishing village, something not only in the physical form of the place but in its ambience also set my imagination alight. I write mostly in order to keep myself (and occasionally others) amused. Journal writing is both personal and confessional. It is an attempt to pause and reflect on the inner journey, and give meaning to the exterior one. It is a way of putting the picture in the frame. |
