Location United States
Introduction After forty years as a university professor, I retired at age sixty in the 1990s and have been pondering and clarifying my atheistic worldview ever since. This blog is a follow-up to my 1995 book on materialism, which followed up two earlier books on American history and literature. With the blog, I hope to leave a day-to-day record of how a life-loving, 75-year-old atheist like me approaches his inevitable demise.
Interests philosophy, cosmology, writing, sports, classical music, finance, film.
Favorite Books Lucretius' De Rerum Natura, Fielding's Tom Jones, Melville's Confidence Man, Updike's Rabbit at Rest.
