IntroductionI've been a fiber artist for over 20 years, starting as a self taught knitter, then progressing to other techniques such as spinning and weaving before finding my creative DNA in felting. I've been creating the felted critters you see here since 2004. I've earned a Fine Arts Degree in Textiles from Western Washington University and teach felting and knitting techniques at Northwest Handspun Yarns in Bellingham, Washington. I've also designed a series of Artfelt projects for Skacel Collections, Inc. and will become an in-home consultant/instructor for the Artfelt products. In addition to creating my own work, I've been involved as a Studio Assistant to artist, Sheila Klein, hand weaving, crocheting and knitting large pieces for exhibitions and shows. I currently live in Smokey Point, Washington with 9 cats and one fella.
