| Introduction | I am a mother and a wife. I am a homemaker...not entirely by choice. Six months ago I had to quit my job due to pregnancy complications. Since then I have not been able to find work and we are living hand to mouth on what my husband makes. I even tried to apply for SNAP benefits, it seems we make $100 a month too much. I guess we are what they mean when they say "working poor". I never thought we would end up in this position but we are making the best of it. |
