| Introduction | I am a professional quilter in Canada. I am also a survivor of 30 years of severe domestic violence. When I say "severe" I'm not being dramatic, just honest. But I survived and have since been dealing with PTSD and all that it entails. Although PTSD is life changing, I know from experience that it can be managed and hopefully even conquered to a point as long as I'm diligent in my self-care and accept support when it is offered and helpful. Quilting keeps me focused and busy enough to remind me to look to the future; my work here is not done. |
