Introduction | I spent the last 18 years running my own furniture company, Little Folk Art I recently decided to hang up my hammer and paint brush and focus on my family. It was fun, traveling the country, meeting lots of wonderful people whom I call my friends, outfitting all the major celebrities nursery’s with wonderful designs. In a addition, I wrote a book for Clarkson Potter, and being on Oprah (1999) was a highlight. My love affair with food started at age 7, when I made my first cake, from scratch. I remember reading the recipe, measuring out the ingredients, and my moms “vintage” mixer. Mostly, I remember my dad’s face when he walked in the door from work that night. I realized then the power of giving and creating for others. I have spent the last 43 years challenging myself in the kitchen. I use cooking and baking as a creative outlet and way to show those around me how much I love and appreciate them. I am a mommy to three boys, a freelance photographer, recipe developer, and do some meal planning. This blog is a vehicle to share my passion, my stories and my journey through the kitchen. |
