Introduction Have written a novel (I think) for Young Adult market. Wrote play for Edinburgh Fringe Festival - 5* review. Teach Deaf children and French. Acted in stuff in England and America. Pinnacle was small part in crap film with lots of famous people. Do quite a few things that I want to get better at, like playing the piano. Talk loads and think too much.
Interests Writing, reading, piano and guitar (accomplished at neither), singing, dancing, acting, Theatre (but there's not enough good new writing being seen. A lot of it's too poncy for me; there's only so much Coward and Chekhov you can take), French, Art (abstract - bright colours), New Age stuff, meditation, nutrition, alternative medicine, clothes, walking in nature, the sea, talking, thinking, laughing...
Favorite Movies Weird French films that I nearly stop watching, Avatar, Elephant Man, American Beauty, Amelie, Moulin Rouge, Cinema Paradiso, Cocoon, Kes, Nuts in May, Spinal Tap, Looking for Eric, My Summer of Love, Youth in Revolt, Tyrannosaur, Submarine, Silver Linings Playbook... Don't really go in for watching films over and over again...always looking for something new. Saw Mary and Max not so long ago which is wonderful animated work re unlikely friendship between 2 people. Enjoy lot of Indie films. Would like to try my hand at script writing some time...Very sad that The Poly (local Arts centre with cinema which showed great range of movies) recently closed. Please re-open.It re-opened yippee!

Favorite Books Lots. Been reading loads of books for teenagers as I've been trying to write one. Like Nicola Morgan's The Passion Flower Massacre (what a brill title. Favourites so far are 'Framed' by Frank Cottrell Boyce and 'Submarine' by Joe Dunthorne. Ever-increasing book queue incl 'The Book Seller of Kabul', Asne Seierstad, 'Any Human Heart' by William Boyd and 'Birdsong' by Sebastian Faulkes, 'The Blank Slate' by Steven Pinker. Don't know if they're my thing yet...Just read Eve Green by Susan Fletcher - beautifully lyrical. Now onto a book my mother bought me - 'Brother and Sister' by Joanna Trollope (first I've read of her).

Is anyone any good at being proud and humble at the same time?
