Introduction | Lisa Black spent the 5 happiest years of her life in a morgue, working as a forensic scientist in the Cleveland, Ohio coroner’s office. Her husband dragged her to southwest Florida where she found work as a latent print and crime scene analyst with the Cape Coral Police Department and got over the homesickness by writing. Her books feature Theresa MacLean, who’s “exactly like me, only smarter, faster, stronger and single.” In her spare time she likes to travel, once touring Europe with her 82 year old mother and 78 year old aunt, sunning in Barbados, and helping to gut houses in New Orleans. She has written stories for as long as she can remember but never really believed she’d be paid to do so. |

You've successfully slain the dragon! How will you toast your marshmallows?
By making a fire of spent arrows. (They also make great toasting-marshmallow sticks, though there's really no point if you don't also have graham crackers and chocolate bars.
