If mud is dirt plus water, what is clay?
Probably NOT the first time I'd had my shoes removed, but the first time it happened where I was surprised to find I still had toes was when I got stomped on REALLY good by my horse when I was a kid. OUCH!!! My instructor took off my shoe to see what damage had been done. Thankfully, everything was still attached and not broken, but I did have a horseshoe-shaped bruise for about 3 weeks.
