| Introduction | My name is Katie LeQuia and my dream is to work with birds. I finished up an internship at Tracy Aviary and they have kept me on to do interactive feedings to Sun Conures and Guira Cuckoos with the public. I have also done some relief keeper work there. I would love to study bird migration some day. I'm from Michigan and currently live in Utah with the wish to move to Maryland. I fell in love with the East coast all over again recently. I graduated from the University of Utah with Bachelor's of Science degrees in both Environmental Studies and Geography. I really want to go to grad school for wildlife biology or a similar field (ornithology would ROCK!) but for now I am too poor. In my free time, I enjoy being outside. I love to hike. I also love to read about ANYTHING! I am a bit of a computer geek too. Occasionally I like to party and go out dancing. To know the other stuff I like to do, just see my interests. |

| Favorite music | I like mostly Indie, Alternative, and Punk but I will listen to anything.. I also enjoy bluegrass/folk, hip hop, pop, classical, country. I love everything except really repetitive techno with no words. My favorite bands are, Tegan and Sara, Say Anything, Cartel, Santogold, Zolof the Rock & Roll Destroyer, Fall Out Boy, The Spill Canvas, Hellogoodbye, Angus & Julia Stone, Sufjan Stevens, Iron and Wine, Modest Mouse, The Sounds, Flogging Molly, Neil Young, Bad Religion, Los Campesinos, etc etc |
| Favorite books | Pilgrim at Tinker Creek by Annie Dillard, The Vampire Chronicles series by Ann Rice, almost anything by Orson Scott Card, and Ishmael by Daniel Quinn, Lord of the Rings series, I love reading! I like reading Isaac Asimov and stuff too. I read any and everything... I wish I could read faster! I like non fiction environmental books, anything about birds, I also like reading about the Civil War. Like I said... anything |
