Introduction Disaster Survival Training is headquartered less than 5 miles from the infamously dangerous San Andreas Fault. You can imagine that we take survival training very seriously - although earthquakes are not the only catastrophe that we prepare our clients to deal with and survive. With 25 years in the disaster readiness field, our company’s founder, Ms. Carol Camelot, received emergency training through various agencies including fire and police departments, the American Red Cross, as a municipal government employee, and through specialized classes. For seven years she served on a city-wide citizen disaster response organization called Neighborhood Emergency Service Teams (NEST) in Cathedral City and was the chairperson of that organization from 1997-1998. She was also interviewed twice monthly on KPSI 920 AM radio for nearly two years on a multitude of emergency topics she researched for the public. She has delivered her message through speaking engagements to nearly 6,000 people at numerous service club, homeowners association, and employee meetings, at preschools and churches, as well as for Mayor’s and Chamber of Commerce breakfasts.
