| Introduction | Taylor began playing the guitar at the age of 12 and was inspired by country music artists such as Shania Twain and the Dixie Chicks. She wrote her first song, “Lucky You,” when she was 12. Her talent for poetry helped her songwriting, and she won a national poetry competition in school with a poem called “Monster in My Closet”. |
