| Introduction | A recent graduate of the University of Illinois' graduate program in journalism, I am an avid music listener and die-hard Chicago sports fan (unfortunately). Blogging is a necessity to me because of the difficulty that I am having finding a real journalism job. Thanks, economy. But writing is as much a hobby as it is a profession for any journalist, so here we are. When I am not working, looking for work, or listening to music, I enjoy sports, movies, video games and East Asian politics. The last one is a product of my political science degree in my undergraduate studies, but in a perfect world I would be fluent in Mandarin Chinese while working to further the general public's knowledge about this very important world power.
