Introduction My Name is Jim Krawiecki and I work at the offices of the British Mountaineering Council. Apart from my interest in Hillwalking and Mountaineering I am also a keen Canoeist/Kayaker. I have paddled on many of the exciting white water rivers of England, Scotland and Wales, as well as many of those in the French Alps. It is my passion for Sea Kayaking which drove me to write the first comprehensive Guidebook to the Welsh coast, for Sea Kayakers. The Book is called 'Welsh Sea Kayaking' and was published in September 2006 by Pesda Press. 'Welsh Sea Kayaking' has been co-written by photographer and keen sea kayaker Andy Biggs. Later I completed a second guidebook entitled 'Northern England & the Isle of Man', which follows a similar format to 'Welsh Sea Kayaking'. More recently my attention has moved to the icy and mountainous coast of east Greenland and its associations with the British Arctic explorer 'Gino Watkins'. Expeditions to Greenland in 2007 and 2012 inspired the short film ‘Gino’s Greenland’ which was shown at the Kendal Mountain Festival in 2012.
Interests Hillwalking, Mountaineering, Canoeing, Kayaking, Mountain Biking, Photography and Writing.
